A NATO fighter jet intercepted and destroyed a drone that breached Romanian airspace. This incident occurred amid heightened tensions in the region. It is a pretty big jump from passive monitoring to active kinetic interception... really interesting to see the response shift in real time. But I'm wondering about the hardware... if they are using a full fighter jet and an expensive missile to take out a drone... what does that do to the cost-of-attrition for NATO compared to the operator?
