Jared Kushner to visit Israel and Egypt regarding Gaza peace plan

who is actually funding the board of peace?
Flexibility is just a euphemism for lack of accountability. Why would Egypt or Israel trust a non-governmental entity to guarantee terms that only a sitting president can actually sign off on?
We must read this against the backdrop of current attrition in the Strait of Hormuz. With the US drone fleet depleted and the House restricting war powers, the administration is likely offloading the political risk of a Gaza deal onto a private actor to avoid further legislative friction.
If formal channels are stalled by the House resolution, a private envoy could act as a low-cost signal of intent. It allows the parties to test the waters without triggering the immediate domestic political backlash that a formal State Department initiative would provoke.
The political risk mentioned doesn't account for the logistics on the ground. Any peace plan that ignores the immediate infrastructure collapse in Gaza is just a paper exercise, regardless of who is doing the talking.
