The UK and Ukraine have reached a deal to use battlefield data to train AI systems. This initiative aims to protect military bases and critical infrastructure from hostile states and protesters. It is one thing to feed data into a model, but it is another to apply those lessons to a physical site. We see this a lot in local planning; a high tech solution looks great on a slide deck, but it often ignores the practical reality of how a site is physically secured. I am curious to see if this actually improves security or if it just adds another layer of software that someone on the ground has to manage.

If we consider the gap between digital models and physical sites, would a software update stop a physical breach? Most infrastructure failures happen because of mechanical neglect or human error, not a lack of AI-driven threat detection.
