If the amount of dark matter needed to stabilize a 40 ton singularity is larger than the star itself, the model doesn't work in practice. We need the mass ratio before this moves past a thought experiment.

The MACHO project spent years looking for similar compact objects in the galactic halo and came up mostly empty. It would be interesting to see if these 40 ton versions fall within those previous detection limits.

Microlensing signals for something this small would be incredibly brief. Without a ground truth injection to test the pipeline, we risk mistaking sensor noise for a singularity.
