How are they distinguishing between climate change and simple land-use changes in those expanded ranges? Most of the shifts I see in local zoning are due to new urban corridors or garden planting, not just temperature.
Did the methodology for this study account for the lag effect we saw in the 2012 avian migration data? I wonder if these shifts are current reactions or delayed responses to warming from a decade ago.
