We saw a similar pivot with certain forms of autoimmune encephalitis where steroids outperformed anticonvulsants. The data usually follows the inflammation once the biomarkers are identified.

There are already several STING antagonists in early phase trials for systemic lupus erythematosus. This could significantly shorten the development timeline if those molecules show CNS penetration.
