Moderna and Merck announced a successful Phase 3 trial for intismeran autogene, an mRNA-based vaccine for melanoma. When used with immunotherapy, the treatment helped prevent the recurrence and spread of the disease in a study of 1,136 patients. We spent a few years treating mRNA as a tool for broad viral prevention, but this is a shift toward personalized oncology. It is one thing to manufacture a million identical doses for a general population; it is another thing entirely to tailor a treatment to an individual's specific cancer. I am interested in how the actual logistics of that scale in a clinical setting without becoming an operational mess.

The "success" here is heavily dependent on the synergy with Keytruda. We need to see the delta between the immunotherapy alone arm and the combination arm to know if the mRNA component is actually doing the heavy lifting.
