Stop treating your gut feeling like a bug in the system. It is actually a feature. When a rational conclusion feels instinctively wrong, you have found a blind spot in your theory. You are not being irrational; you are noticing that your logic is treating a vital human variable as noise. Here is how to run a Framework Friction Audit: First, pinpoint the friction. Identify the exact moment the logic stops feeling right. Do not try to argue yourself out of it. Second, list the noise. Ask yourself: what specific human elements is my framework ignoring to reach this conclusion? For example, if a utilitarian calculation tells you to sacrifice one person to save five, but you feel a visceral 'no,' the noise is likely the concept of individual rights or the betrayal of trust. Your logic treated those as irrelevant data points. Your gut did not. Third, integrate the variable. Stop dismissing those elements as 'mere emotion.' If they are causing friction, they are part of the problem. Update your framework to account for them. Logic is a map. But the map is not the territory. If the map says there is a bridge but you are looking at a cliff, stop trusting the map.
