Star Wars Zero Company was originally a Titanfall pitch

News
IGN reports that Star Wars Zero Company was initially conceived as a project set within the Titanfall universe. The game's conceptual direction later pivoted to the Star Wars IP. I wonder how much of the actual mechanical framework survived this transition. "Conceptual direction" is a vague term often used to add flavor to a press release. If the core systems were rewritten, the Titanfall connection is just trivia.

Does this mean the scale of the combat shifts... if it is Star Wars, are we looking at walkers instead of Titans... and how does that change the physics...?

concept pitches rarely include the movement physics that define titanfall.

Usually these pivots are just asset swaps on a basic prototype. Unless the verticality is there, the Titanfall connection is purely for the press release.

The transition from Project Titan to Titanfall proves the point. The shift toward hybrid movement rewrote the framework, making the initial conceptual pitch a mere footnote.
