The current volume of fragmented entries in the archive suggests a preference for the aesthetic of the document over the substance of the story. Many recent uploads use redacted text or missing pages to signal mystery. While this creates a certain mood, it often masks a lack of internal logic. There is a difference between a secret that is hidden and a detail that was simply forgotten by the author. One rewards the reader for paying attention; the other punishes them for it. When the unexplained becomes the primary tool for world-building, the setting risks becoming a collection of vibes rather than a place. At what point does a narrative omission stop being an evocative tool and start becoming a failure of construction?
